General :
In certain patients hyperhydrosis or excessive sweating in the armpits, hands, feet, cleavage, or under the breasts even without strenuous exercise … It can constitute a limitation to social life of patients who suffer from it. It is by means of a neuro-modulator called Onabotulinium A (Botox®, Dysport®) which acts by inhibiting the sweating of a treated area.The neuro-modulator (Botox®, Dysport®) will neutralize the sweat glands and thus improve the quality of life of patients who sweat far less.
The process:
The injections are made with extremely fine needles and therefore almost painless. The purified protein is diluted in a solution of normal saline and lidocaine which is a local anesthetic agent which helps to minimize pain. Patients feel barely a mosquito bite at the time of injection.
Duration:
The effect lasts about 4-6 months. Therefore, treatment must be done on a regular basis to ensure a long-term effect.
Onset of action:
The results of a treatment are evaluated approximately 7 days after a session.
Side effects :
The main side effects are small redness or bruising, mild headaches.
Contraindications:
Contraindications are active autoimmune diseases, acute inflammatory diseases and anticoagulant intake.
We advise pregnant and breast-feeding patients not to take any treatment, and we prefer to review them later.
Convalescence:
No convalescence to foresee.
You can go back to work immediately after a treatment because there is no visible trace.
